Just as both groups of men and women were about to reach their perspective targets – and each other – a spacecraft shot past the window at high speed. At the exact same moment, the couple they were hunting down was caught in pure energy that seemed to dissolve both. It had all the characteristics of teleportation, even though no one was crazy enough to do it from a moving object, namely the spaceship. As the ship shot past the window, it had moved itself away from the ships hull, making sure its course now took it clear of the station.

For a brief moment, pulse fire died down in the hallway, and both groups stared at the spot where the man and the woman had stood only a brief moment earlier. Even though both parties had lost sight of their objective, they still had the problem of being in each others presence. Like two dogs fighting over a bone already stolen by a third seconds ago, they decided to at least settle the score between them and reopened hostilities towards each other.

The members of the Brotherhood, a well known but very secretive apocalyptic cult, were all ready to die for their cause. The Vanguard on the other hand, guardians of all that was good and pure and in the servitude of God himself, were equally ready to give their life for their cause. As cannon fodder engaged cannon fodder, the hallway became a bloodbath, smearing the once bright and cheerful blue and green decoration with bright red blood and entrails.
