Rebirth of the Princess Chronicles October 27, 2009

I have several stories laying around that are either finished or partially written. Most of these keep laying around because I am not satisfied with the storyline, some of the characters, etc. And every once in a while, I suddenly get an idea that spins one of these stories around and back on track. Today, this has happened with one of these stories; the Princess Chronicles.

Actually, it wasn’t a sudden idea, but a dream I had last night that turned the story around. In my first and second draft, the main character is a princess that sneaks out of the palace to avoid getting married to a man she never met. She sails off to another land and gets dropped into an adventure that changes her life forever.

My dream was about a royal family that gets killed off one by one. The youngest princess is sent away from the kingdom to safeguard at least one heir to the throne that way. Once I woke up and was able to retain this dream – which is rare to me because I rarely remember my dreams – I immediately figured this would be an interesting twist for my Princess Chronicles.

And so work has begun on the first book in this series, which is – as you may have guessed -  a fantasy novel. I will post chapters here as soon as I finish them. So stay tuned for more stuff to read on this blog!

To celebrate the start of Amateur Author, I’m releasing a full story – and the first installment of the series “Void Between the Stars” – “The Eyes of the Seer” on this blog a chapter a day. The final chapter of this story (or book, if you will) will be released on January first 2009.

The story is a science fiction tale about a trader / cargo runner by the name of Jaydon Octar, who – by random chance – bumbles into an anonymous woman, and ends up in an adventure he hadn’t counted on while helping her discover her true identity.

We hope you will enjoy reading about the adventures of Jaydon and Emma, which hopefully will keep you reading the entire last month of the year!
